Snow Day! |Northern Virginia Family Photographer|
9 Feb
It’s not often that I get to spend the entire day with my boys and husband. The snow this weekend allowed us to do just that! I decided to document the day, so we could remember how much fun we had. We started off with French Toast sticks stuffed with cream cheese and bananas. They don’t look very pretty, but tasted great. Look at those faces…how could I not be in LOVE with them.

This is what we saw when we went outside, with my camera wrapped in a plastic ziploc bag. It was challenging taking pictures this way, but I love what I captured:

After shoveling, we played outside for a bit. Ryan was not a big fan of the sled, so I got my workout carrying him. Brendan loved it we even got some mommy and B time to sled together, just the two of us. Here we are walking up the street, but you can’t tell it’s the street at all. (more from plastic wrapped camera)

Here’s Ryan sitting on top of it all. Right after this series he stood up and then face planted right in the snow. He was not happy!

Later we enjoyed some warming up inside while drawing on the windows and enjoying some beverages. We actually got the boys down for a nap, cleaned house, and then headed out for another round of playing in the snow.

We also got to work on some Valentines Cards. Brendan made cards for Grandma + Grandpa, Mommom + Poppop and his really good friend Cyre. Speaking of Valentines Day, don’t forget to enter your LOVE story HERE. 1 more day left to enter for a great prize.

We finally finished off the night with a nice warm fire while cooking up some S’mores. B wasn’t as big of a fan as I would have liked, but I enjoyed them.

All in all it was a day to remember. We’ll be off for a couple of more days and we are starting to get stir crazy. Hope this next storm doesn’t hit us too hard. Happy Snowmageddon!!! Or as a friend said earlier today, on to Snowverkill!!!
