It’s been awhile since I posted a session, but I’m still here. Just over a month ago we moved into a new home. We are loving all of the extra space, but it took some time to get back into the swing of things. So, I’m back at it and so excited to start shooting again and sharing again. Here’s a family that has been with me for over 2 years. I love seeing them and they are a blast to photograph. We got together this time around to capture O’s 9 month pictures and get some family images too.

It might only be October, but it’s time to think about the holidays, family photos, holiday cards and gifts! Holiday minis are perfect for family photos including your little furry friends. They can include your entire family (including your pets) or just your children. It’s a great time to capture those images made especially holiday cards and those special gifts for grandma and grandpa. I have had this project under my belt for a long while now. It’s something I have wanted to offer, but as life got in the way, I had to put it aside. I am so excited to now offer PHOTO FUSION sessions. What is Photo Fusion, you ask? Basically it is a combination of photographs and videos of your session put together to create a story (and a piece of art). It’s one of my favorite things to do and I know you will all love it! These sessions are not your typical portrait session. They are more about telling a story, capturing special moments in a special activity with your family, or even everyday life. We could go get ice cream, have a picnic, or even capture an evening at home (from dinner to bath to jammies and storytime). It’s about having fun, being a family, and just being YOU!

I am so excited to share with you these two little peanuts. E and M came to me at almost 4 weeks old, but still under 5lbs. They were so tiny and I love every minute of the cuddles I got from them. They were my first newborns to experience my new studio. I’m over the moon excited for this new chapter in my business. I am now offering studio sessions for newborns, infants and toddlers. I will also be holding mini sessions and special events at the studio, along with my monthly camera workshops. I will be posting my Fall and Winter workshop dates later this week.

So, check out these cuties. Being a twin myself, I just love meeting other twins. The connection between twins is so unique and I definitely saw it with these two. They were a little unsettled by themselves, but once we snuggled them together they were so happy and content. It’s an amazing thing to experience.

Taylor is #3 for me and I still get amazed by how much they change each month in the first year. She is 4 months old (ALREADY) and the sweetest, happiest baby ever. I’ve dedicated myself to taking these monthly pictures…even if they aren’t perfect. I find if the most challenging to take pictures of my own children. Anyway, here she is…Miss T.

On another note…we have some wonderful new neighbors who have been hit with some hard times. Their 22 month old daughter has been diagnosed with Leukemia. She is currently undergoing Chemotherapy. Her family moved here 1.5 weeks ago from Texas. We met them on Friday, hung out and hit it off on Sunday, and Idalya was diagnosed on Tuesday. As a mom I wanted to give Leslie (Idalya’s mom) as much support as possible.

Violet is one of my Watch Me Grow babies. These are my favorite sessions because I get to see a newborn through their first year. I love, love, love seeing them change and grow. It’s always amazing to see the changes and milestones. Anyway, Violet is 6 months old and the sweetest, most content little lady. We had so much fun!

I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things after Maternity leave. I’m now taking sessions through the summer and into the Fall. For now, here is my 3 kiddos in Wildwood, NJ. We did a super quick (and I mean quick as in 10 minutes and they were already covered head to toe in sand, including Taylor) session. I’m hoping to get some of these hung on our newly painted living room wall in the next couple of weeks. I’ll make sure to share when it’s done.

AndreaGayle Photography + Design is hosting it’s 2nd annual Cutest Kid Contest! Beginning Wednesday May 25th you will be able to submit a photo of your cutest kid, and the winner will receive a free photo session with AndreaGayle Photography + Design, a complimentary FUSION DVD to share with friends and family. The FUSION DVD is a combination of photos and video to create a unique memory on DVD. You will be the first to own one of these new products by AndreaGayle Photography + Design.

Here are the details:

TO ENTER

* One entry per child.

* You must be the parent or legal guardian of the child you enter into the contest.

* Child must be 17 years old or younger on the date of entry.

* You must have permission/rights to use the photo you enter.

* Photo must have been taken in the last 6 months.

* Photos will be accepted from 12:01 am Wednesday, 2011 until 11:59pm Friday June 1st, 2011 (EST) via e-mail.

* Only photos e-mailed to Andrea@agphotographydesign.com with the Subject line AGPD CONTEST during the previosuly mentioned time will be accepted.

* Include your child’s name and age in the e-mail (first name and age will be posted for viewing), as well as your name and contact information.

* Contest open to everyone, however if you live outside of a 30 mile radius from Burke Va, you must choose a location within 30 miles of Burke, Va for your prize shoot, or a travel fee will be charged of 85 cents per mile, each direction, beyond 30 miles.

HOW PHOTOS WILL BE JUDGED

* All entries will be uploaded into an album by AndreaGayle Photography + Design no later than Monday June 6th 2011, on the facebook fan page.

* To vote for a photo you MUST be a ‘fan’ (or under the new facebook system ‘like’) AndreaGayle Photography + Design

* Click ‘like’ for the photo you are voting for in the AndreaGayle Photography + Design album labeled ‘Summer 2010 Cutest Kid Contest’

* Photo with the most ‘likes’ will be the winner. Comments permitted, but WILL NOT count towards the total number of votes

* AndreaGayle Photography + Design will verify that all ‘likes’ of the winning photo come from AndreaGayle Photography + Design facebook fans, ‘likes’ from non-fans will not be counted

* Voting will close Monday June 13th, 2011 at 11:59pm

* Official winner will be notified and announced no later than Monday June 20th, 2011 .

Well it’s been a little while since I posted, but I have a good reason. Here’s 10 things on my mind today.

1. Of course the #1 thing on my mind today is my beautiful 2 week old, Taylor. She joined us on March 22nd (her due date was today). She is such a great baby and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Here she is.

2. And I can’t forget about my beautiful boys. Here’s a picture of all three of my loves!

3. You may have noticed a change in our look. I am so excited about our re-branding that went on in the past month. The new look is exactly what I had in mind and thanks to Corina Nielson Designs I have a pretty new brand. I can’t wait to get my new business cards and other materials.

4. While I am on Maternity leave, I did promise a few clients who were due around the same time as I was that we would get their newborn session in. One of them was little Charlie and he was just precious. I had the pleasure of capturing his big brother’s first year and now I get to do the same for Charlie. I can’t wait to see the whole family grow!

5. Being home and having another addition to the family…I have decided to take on some coupon cutting. A recent thread on one of my forums inspired me to take the plunge. I just started learning the ropes, but I plan to try and keep it going and see what we can save. There are some great blogs out there devoted to coupons and savings. Money Saving Mom is a great blog to start with. I signed up for email alerts and “liked” them on FB. Check it out.
